The Sorrel Margarita is a refreshing take on the much-loved Margarita, combining the crisp citrus notes of fresh lime with the rich, aromatic character of sorrel. This cocktail balances smooth tequila, bright orange liqueur and a touch of sorrel syrup to create a drink that is vibrant, refreshing and full of flavour.
Known for its deep ruby colour and naturally tangy profile, sorrel brings subtle floral notes and gentle spice to the cocktail, adding depth while keeping the drink light and refreshing. Perfect for warm summer days, outdoor gatherings and moments shared with friends.
Sorrel is widely enjoyed across the Caribbean and West African communities, traditionally made as a refreshing hibiscus-based drink infused with spices and served during celebrations and gatherings. In this cocktail, those familiar flavours are reimagined in a modern Margarita format, keeping the essence of sorrel alive while introducing it to a contemporary summer serve.
The Sorrel Margarita is a nod to that cultural heritage, where ingredients are shared, adapted and enjoyed across different contexts, blending tradition with today’s cocktail culture.
